The Sun and It’s Bokeh

Have you ever had one of those moments where the sun peaks through the limbs of a tree and really captures your attention?  I had one of those moments on my recent adventure to the Withrow Nature Peserve.

This picture is from that moment.  I wanted to the tree limbs to be the focus so I could capture how the sun was peaking through them.  In photographic terms, I wanted to bokeh out the sun so I could show how my eye was seeing it.  (Bokeh is basically when the background is kinda blurred out so doesn’t take away from the subject of the picture.)

    like this one. of course, i’m drawn to the nature ones. i feel like it’s more personal for the one seeing it than those of people. but, anyways, i love looking at your pictures. thanks so much for sharing. they always make me feel peaceful. i absoulutely LOVE the ‘Holding On’ one. GREAT!!!!!
