Calendar – June

This picture is of the sky while I was sitting and relaxing at Cornerstone.  Everything was particularly vivid and alive that day and the sky became my muse.

The Schrader Family

I will admit I use certain locations often.  There are some places that I could just take pictures at from now till eternity.  Although the location may be the same, each family leaves their own mark on the location.

I will also admit that I have lots of favorite pictures.  Many of them are my favorite for a variety of reasons.

This picture is taken in one of the locations I use often and has become one of my top 10 favorite photos of the various pictures I have taken.  It is one of those pictures that I just want to recreate over and over again.

This too is one of those should be in a catalog pictures.

The Schrader Family

This is one of the dress up photos and it just makes me want to sing, “Raindrops keep falling on my head”…but thanks to my raincoat and umbrella I am nice and dry.

I love the vivid colors of the umbrella and the rain coat.  There were people who were walking by while we were taking pictures who stopped to watch and commented on how adorable Katelyn was in the outfit.

The Schrader Family

One of the things that Katelyn loves is to play ballerina.  So of course we had to take some pictures of the little ballerina.  And all ballerina’s need a magical wand.

I believe she is proclaiming that she will steal your heart with all her cuteness.

The Schrader Family

I call this picture the Baby Gap ad.  It just has the feeling that it could be part of a summer catalog.  I love it!

The Schrader Family

I have always hoped that sometime I would be able to take photos of a family who wanted to mix it up and do some more costume-like photos.  I had the chance with the Schrader family and it was more fun than I had expected.  (I will showcase those pictures later in the week – so stay tuned.)

In addition to the fun dress up pictures we did take some family pictures.  I love this picture.  There’s something about the color and just the picture itself that I just love.

The Mastin Family

One of the things I love to catch is moments where I just fade into the background and I am not noticed.  They are little stolen moments.  This picture is one of those moments and probably my favorite of the teasers for the Mastin’s.  I love the expressions of their faces.  I love when you can see someone’s joy and love overflow from the inside out.

To the Mastin family, thank you for allowing me to capture your family and to be apart of the fun.  May you contiune to fall more in love with each other and may the fun and laughter carry you through each day.

The Mastin Family

I have never laughed so much when taking pictures as I did with the Mastin family.  Xaiver was completely adorable and full of energy.  He was running around playing and picking dandelions.  But for just a moment he stopped and sat down and let me take his picture.  This is that moment -

The Mastin Family

I love this picture!  It makes me smile because he looks like a mini football player whose about to tackle me for taking his picture one too many times.  Not to mention the shirt adds to the feeling of the picture.  It’s just too dang cute!

The Mastin Family

One of the fun things about taking pictures of kids is their personalities.  I have yet to find a kid who is boring and bland.  Each one of them has been full of life and personality.  These boys were no different.

We tried to get several pictures of the boys together and this is one of those shots.  I like it because they both have a similar look in their body language.  For some reason it just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.
