Chihuly – Franklin Park Conservatory

I thought I would take a little break from showcasing families this week, to share with you a recent road trip I took to Columbus.

One of my favorite artist is Dale Chihuly.  Chihuly is known for his amazing hand-blown glass.  Personally I love the colors, shapes, and the textures of his pieces.  I am fascinated by them.  If he has an exhibit anywhere close I always try and make it a point to go.

So when I discovered there was an exhibit in Columbus, you bet I started making plans to take it in.

Here are an example of his reed work.

Happy Birthday Stephanie

What you may not know about Photos by CRT is that we are actually 2 people.  Myself – Cindy the CRT and my friend and assistant Stephanie.

Stephanie helps keep track of all my junk on sessions, she edits 95% of the pictures, and she shoots on many of the sessions.

But more importantly – today (Friday Sept 25th) is Stephanie’s 21st birthday!!  So I wanted to pause for just a moment and say Happy Birthday Stephanie.  Thank you for being apart of this crazy adventure that is Photos By CRT and for your friendship.  I hope your birthday is amazing!

Caleb 6 Months

I’ll admit I had wanted this picture to be slightly different than it turned out.  I had visions of getting the entire house in the shot but when composing the picture, it became clear that it just wasn’t going to happen – well at least not this time.

I really like to take families’ pictures at their own.  It is the place they are most natural at.  Not to mention it gives them memories should they ever move.

Caleb and family, thank you for allowing me to be apart of your family – not only as a photographer but as a friend.  Thank you for sharing your hearts with me and those you encounter.  May the joy you have for each other overflow to others.

Caleb 6 Months

In addition to catching Caleb and his Mom in there moment I was able to catch Caleb and his Dad.  I love watching Dad’s interact with their children.

Caleb 6 Months

As I said Caleb smiles from ear to ear and his laughter will breaks the clouds on a gloomy day.  One of my favorite moments to watch is when parents play with their kids.  The connection that a family has to one another is magically.  I was lucky enough to catch just such a moment between Caleb and his Mom.

Caleb 6 Months

There are many great things about being a photographer.  In fact I probably mention one each week on this blog.  This week isn’t any different.  This week the great thing is being a photographer when your friends have an adorable boy that just smiles from ear to ear.  Sometimes life can be rough, but it melts away when Caleb smiles and laugh.

Caleb 6 Months

This week I would like to highlight the 6 month session for Caleb.  We spent time inside and outside his home.  Rarely is Caleb without a smile on his face but I happen to catch him looking all serious and deep in thought.  This is one of my favorite pictures from the session.

The Teegarden Family

To the Teegarden family,

Thank you so much for letting me capture some of the fun that summer has to offer for your family.  Thank you for always being an example of how to give yourself away for the good of others.  May you always find joy in serving each other and know that you make an impact in the world.
